A Different Kind of Beginning
For nearly 20 years, I worked in the nuclear industry. I had built a career, a routine and a life that, from the outside, probably looked pretty successful.
But life had other plans for me.
What began as one of the most difficult chapters of my life eventually became an opportunity to discover who I was beyond my career.
It wasn't a quick or easy journey. There was therapy, a lot of self-reflection, difficult days and plenty of learning along the way. But there were also some incredible experiences that helped me rediscover my curiosity, independence and love of life.
I travelled solo to Thailand, spent time learning meditation from Buddhist monks and eventually completed my meditation teacher training.
Those experiences didn't magically make everything better, but they changed how I approached life. I began to understand that taking care of myself wasn't something I needed to earn or squeeze in when everything else was finished.
And somewhere along the way, Re:mind began to take shape.
